When I was first diagnosed with breast cancer, I was completely shocked. I couldn’t process those early appointments with my oncologist and surgeons. Products may have been mentioned, but I couldn’t focus on anything other than my own mortality.
Suddenly, I was being told about cold caps, wigs, compression bras, surgical recovery items, and supplements. I was overwhelmed by the sheer number of products, and even more overwhelmed when my friends and family asked how they could help. I didn’t know what I needed — I’d never done this before — and I was exhausted trying to figure it out. The expense of cancer only added another layer of stress.
When I went searching for a place where women like me — newly diagnosed and scared — could find survivor-vetted products, resources, and lists tailored to every stage of treatment, I couldn’t find one. Sure, there was information out there, but it was fragmented, scattered across blogs and Amazon reviews that left me more confused than comforted.
That’s where the idea for Re-Femme was born.
Re-Femme is a curated, free registry platform for women navigating cancer. It takes the guesswork out of what’s needed — offering lists designed with the input of survivors, surgeons, and clinicians. Women can personalize their registry, adding things like Uber Eats gift cards, laundry service credits, or products that bring comfort at every stage.
It’s about simplifying the hard stuff, reducing decision fatigue, and helping loved ones know exactly how to show up.
Because no woman should ever have to go through this journey feeling unsupported.
